The course is building up skills and experience in coaching engineering teams. To gain experience and to reflect real coaching situations, the participants of the course have the role of team coaches of the innovation project (151-0300-00L) lecture.
The course “Coaching Students” enhances Student Teaching Assistants and other participants in their roles as coaches, acquiring basic knowledge about coaching methodology and the mindset of a coach. The course focuses on participants who are coaching teams or individuals, where nondirective support plays an important role.
This advanced, practice-based course prepares experienced student coaches to take on the role of coaching trainers. Participants lead existing workshops, offer 1:1 coaching to students, and design a training for an ETH internal client. The course includes intensive mentoring, peer feedback, and a final reflection report.

This course imparts a variety of teaching skills which will help Teaching Assistants with their teaching tasks.
This is an online course that participants can work through at their own pace. The course is in English and takes about 6 hours to complete. Participants who successfully complete the quiz in the course will receive a verification of completion.
