The elective course explores and deepens interconnected concepts and materials from a variety of artistic practices. In a series of presentations, artists and researchers introduce multiple approaches of art-based work. The course encompasses multidisciplinary research fields, ranging from urban anthropology and writing methods to film, sculpture, and sound.
We look at contemporary experiences of time and space with - and after - the moving-image, especially material and conceptual shifts when artists work: linear narrative, networked media, the internet, and other ideas of interaction. Architectural space is seen as a broad configuration of environments that situate, and influence techne- the interplay of technology and affect in artistic production.
