The purpose of this laboratory course is to practically explore modern techniques to build large-scale distributed information systems. Participants will work in groups of three or more students, and develop projects in several phases. The course is offered in both Fall and Spring semesters.
Development of systems and applications in the are of information systems
Introduction to the experimental methods of Inorganic Chemistry
Introduction to the experimental methods of Inorganic Chemistry
The second term of the MAS programme is split into two consecutive design and fabrication projects. Students work collaboratively on all aspects from design to the digital / robotic fabrication of their 1-1 scale structure. Students acquire experience in project management, learn to organise their work packages and develop integrated digital fabrication processes.
In the Design and Digital Fabrication Project students collaboratively design, fabricate and assemble a 1:1 architectural installation. The resulting project exploits the geometric freedom offered by computational design and showcases the potential of digital fabrication methods such as additive manufacturing for architecture.
The Interdisciplinary Project Activity (IPA) forms the key feature of the MSc RE&IS. Students work on an interdisciplinary task from the field of spatial development and infrastructure systems in a real-life application . The interdisciplinary cooperation and strong communication skills are crucial skills required in practice to communicate with and between relevant actors and other stakeholders.

In our third semester, we reconsider and re-evaluate our identity as a leading consultant. For this we see how the concept of leadership works on and shapes our skills. In line with our acquired knowledge we now pay attention to all involved interests: the perception of demand. Furthermore, it is a necessity to understand the tasks and duties of every role which you can take on.
The internship takes place outside universities, the main locations being: pharmaceutical industry, consultancy, health and regulatory authorities and hospitals. Students experience the professional handling of questions in the field of pharmaceutical sciences through their own practical activities
We advise the students to complete an internship. It is optional and not required for the master's degree.
Practical Training Internships are either research-oriented for exercising scientific (laboratory) methods or job-related for giving insight into the future world of work (industry, services, school).

To complement theoretical studies and gain practical professional experience, an internship in industry can be completed either during the master’s program or in the transition period between the bachelor’s and master’s programs. The internship should be completed before the start of the master’s thesis.
The main objective of the 12-week (full-time) internship is to expose master's students to the industrial work environment. During this period, students have the opportunity to be involved in on-going projects at the host institution.

Introduction to Diophantine Approximation and Transcendence Theory
Einführung in die diophantische Approximation und Transzendenz
In the course we shall cover the basic techniques and results in transcendence theory.
Introductory course on mathematics for investment, hedging, portfolio management, asset pricing and financial derivatives in discrete-time financial markets. Topics: arbitrage, completeness, risk-neutral pricing, utility maximisation, and maybe others. Fundamental theorem of asset pricing, hedging duality theorems in discrete time, convex duality in utility maximisation.
