We will address the question of what exactly constitutes African and Africana philosophy and how it offers an original perspective on philosophy. The focus will then be on the systematic approaches to knowledge and morality of contemporary authors.

Second, neuropsychological research on trolley cases (Greene, Haidt, Berker, Kamm) and third, applications of such moral reasoning in cases potentially arising in autonomous robots (Rahwan, Nyholm and Smids, Wolkenstein) will be considered.

The first question that arises from this title is, of course, what is feminism and what is feminist philosophy, and the debate on these are our first seminar focus. In a second focus, systematic questions are thematic, for example what are “sex” and “gender” and how is the distinction to be made. Third, themes in feminist ethics and aesthetics, in feminist epistemology and philosophy of science.
