During the introductory teaching practice, the students sit in on five lessons given by the teacher responsible for their teaching practice, and teach five lessons themselves. The students are given observation and reflection assignments by the teacher responsible for their teaching practice.

The students familiarize themselves with fundamental tasks of teachers in mathematics at higher secondary level. During "practice lessons" they are expected to put into practice the theories of teaching discussed in the lecture. Furthermore, they have the opportunity of using an internet platform to work on exercises, in order to deepen their level of reflection about the topics of the lecture.
