Vertiefung Physiologie und Pathophysiologie
In-depth theory to molecular and pathophysiological aspects of nerves, muscles, heart , circulatory , respiratory and sensory organs .
Human Physiology I
Humanphysiologie I
This course teaches the basics of the physiology of the human body.
Human Physiology II
Humanphysiologie II
This course covers the basic principles of human anatomy and physiology.
Introduction into our research and hands-on work in actual research projects. The goal is to encourage independent scientific thinking and to translate theoretical knowledge into practical experiments. The course also includes reading of original articles and presentation of the work done.
The lecture series "Clinical Neuroscience" presents a comprehensive, condensed overview of the most important neurological diseases, their clinical presentation, diagnosis, therapy options and possible causes. Patient demonstrations (Übungen) follow every lecture that is dedicated to a particular disease.
The aim of this course is to systematically analyze learning and memory processes as a consequence of the interaction between molecular, cellular and circuit-based mechanisms. We will focus on the specific experimental (methodological) breakthroughs at each analytical level of the underlying mechanisms of learning and memory: from molecules to circuits.
The course covers the physiology of nerve cells, from the single cell through the neuronal network to the systemic level. The focus is on molecular and cellular mechanisms – synaptic transmission, signal transduction, gene expression, synaptic plasticity.
