Cellular homeostasis maintains internal stability while adapting to changing molecular or environmental stress stimuli. This process involves the entire cell and is fundamental to normal cellular physiology while its dysregulation causes disease. Students will study examples of how stressors alter the transcriptome and proteome leading to stress adaptation or disease.
