Work Psychology and Ergonomics are subdisciplines of Work Science and share a basic understanding of the 'humane' design of work tools, places, tasks and systems. The lecture presents basic knowledge of both subdisciplines and demonstrates it in examples. The students learn to understand and reflect theoretical concepts, empirical research and the advantages of a work design adapted to people.
Multilevel modelling and structural equation modelling are two regression-based methods of data analysis that are increasingly used in applied fields of Management and Organizational Behaviour. The course provides basic knowledge about both methods (e.g., design, analysis, reporting) and explains more advanced models (e.g., moderation, mediation, longitudinal).

The course aims to develop and train skills in empirical research in the field of Organisational Behaviour and Management. Topics covered range from developing a study design to analysing and interpreting results. Participants present a problem from their own empirical research, develop a solution and submit their result at the end of the course.
