The lecture follows the value added process sequence of electric and electronic components. It contains: Development of electric and electronic circuits, design of electronic circuits on printed circuit boards as well as in hybrid technology, integrated test technology, planning of production lines, production of highly integrated electronic on a wafer as well as recycling.
Zu Beginn werden die historischen, sozio-ökonomisch-technologischen Aspekte des Konzepts erörtert und Handlungsoptionen diskutiert. Anschliessend wird das operationale Verständnis der Grundmechanismen der nachhaltigen Entwicklung an Hand konkreter Beispiele erarbeitet. Diese Themenbereiche werden in kurzen Theorieblöcken eingeführt und in Gruppenarbeiten vertieft. Eine nachhaltige Entwicklung an den konkreten Beispielen einer Gemeinde und eines Industriebetriebes werden am Schluss aufgezeigt.

Intuition und Erfahrung allein reichen nicht aus, um anspruchsvolle, interdisziplinäre Problemstellungen im Technikbereich erfolgreich zu bearbeiten und optimale, vor allem auch im Hinblick auf ihre ökologischen und sozialen Auswirkungen nachhaltige Lösungen zu entwickeln und umzusetzen. Die Vorlesung stellt eine entsprechende Allgemeine Methodik vor.
