The course introduces and contrasts the objectivist and the practice-based theoretical perspectives on Knowledge Management that are predominant in Organization Studies. Futher, common Knowledge Management approaches, methods and tools will be presented, and case studied will be discussed in class.Finally, the participants will develop a case study about an organization of their choice.

The course introduces theoretical concepts of Knowledge Management from the perspective of different social sciences: Business administration, Sociology and Psychology. Within the first and second part, a Knowledge Management Toolbox on individual and organisational level will be presented. The participants will get the opportunity to test some of the presented tools.
