This module discusses latest trends in AI and how to integrate them in the process of designing, implementing, and maintaining IT technologies. We study large language models, recommendation systems, and reinforcement learning. Participants apply this knowledge in a project where they assist a small retailer store to integrate AI in their business.

This integration module links technical understanding of technologywith business strategy based on a set of case studies from practice.

The course is designed to provide students with an understanding of "real-life" computer science challenges in business settings and teach them how to address these.

Participants will learn how to analyze and solve IT problems in practice in a systematic way, present findings to decision bodies, and defend their conclusions.

Objective of the course is to provide students with insight regarding topics, which graduated computer scientists work on in their practice and to thus create a bridge between university and practice. Representatives from practice - typically ETH-graduates - present actual case studies, in which participants are encouraged to think through and solve the respective case study.
