This introductory Laboratory course introduces the student to the entire range of classical and modern molecular biosciences. In the second year (Praktikum GL Bio II) the students will perform three praktikum days in:- Plant Biology- Animal Models- Genomics- Molecular Systems Biology(total of 12 experiments)Each experiment takes one full day.

This introductory Laboratory course introduces the student to the entire range of classical and modern molecular biosciences. In the second year (Praktikum GL Bio II) the students will perform three praktikum days in:- Animal Models- Plant Biology(total of 6 experiments)Each experiment takes one full day.

The course provides general basic insights and new perspectives in the development, plasticity and repair of the nervous system. The focus is on molecular, cellular and transgenic approaches, mainly with the mouse as model system.
