In 2015, the UN Conference in Paris shaped future world objectives to tackle climate change.Today, the world is facing the reality of surpassing the 1.5°C warming threshold, and the built environment faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities.This course engages students in critical discussions on sustainable development within regenerative, resilient and adaptive built environments.
The lecture will focus on the integration of environmental, economic, and social issues into product design and development and address products developed and produced in different industrial sectors. Eco-design strategies, methods and tools are presented for the chemical, materials, automotive, electronics, and building & construction sectors.

Beside the gain of knowledge as regards content, the examination of different fields and universities will take centre stage for the participants, as also encountered in practice. The language of teaching is basically German, however discussion contributions in English will explicitly be desired.Registration by 14 July 2008 is mandatory (see URL above).
