Music is an excellent subject for models and experiments in the humanities and the natural sciences. Refering to current projects, we demonstrate the integration of systematic musicology into the sciences. Apart from fundamentals on sound objects, we discuss a mathematical model of Fuxian counterpoint as well as its verification within the human depth EEG.
