Imparts a basic understanding of physiology and anatomy in man and domestic animals, focusing on the interrelations between morphology and function of the organism, in particular of domestic animals. This is fostered by discussing all subjects from a functional point of view. The lecture consists of two consecutive parts.

This course imparts basic knowledge of general signs and causes of illness in individuals and polulations as well as of the interactions between the organism and its living and non-living environment. The focus is on the understanding of the complex relationships between animal husbandry, behavior, health and productivity of farm animals.
