The course applies the basic clinical-pharmaceutical knowledge in triage, diagnostics and therapy support (TDT) in selected clinical case studies. Students will be able to analyze patient cases from the pharmacy in terms of differential diagnosis and suggest suitable medication based on therapy guidelines or indicate when medical clarification is indicated.

This course sensitises doctoral students to ethical issues that may occur during their doctorate. After an introduction to ethics and good scientific practice, students are familiarised with resources that can assist them with ethical decision-making. Students get the chance to apply their knowledge in a context specific to research in chemistry and related fields.
The course provides an introduction into the concepts and tools of ethics with a special emphasis on ethical dilemmas in biomedicine and drug development.
