Abstract

The course applies the basic clinical-pharmaceutical knowledge in triage, diagnostics and therapy support (TDT) in selected clinical case studies. In weekly practice hours, frequent clinical casuistry, as it can occur in the professional everyday life in the pharmacy, is worked out, presented and discussed in groups.

Objective

Students - are able to analyze simple case studies based on their basic knowledge in therapy, diagnostics and therapy support and present, explain and discuss them in plenary sessions - evaluate clinical symptoms and illnesses and perform a differential diagnosis in the specified field - are able to explain the cause and development of the specified symptoms and recognize the most important risk and warning symptoms (red flags). - based on their knowledge of therapeutic substances, therapy guidelines and selected drugs, they are able to suggest therapy options and recognize when a referral to a medical specialist is indicated
