Professional Internship

In the internship outside of ETH and its research institutes, the students learn how to address environmental issues professionally through their own practical work and by applying the knowledge they have acquired. They will analyse complex environmental problems on scientific, technical and social levels and develop solutions in conjunction with social actors.
Who does the dishes? A seemingly simple question. Yet, upon closer inspection this query confronts us with a range of complex socio-political dilemmas. What do the dishes say about labour, and who is actually doing the work? Which work goes unnoticed, and why? Because everybody wants to live communally, but nobody wants to do the dishes.
