Students develop and build a product from A-Z! They work in teams and independently, learn to structure problems, to identify solutions, system analysis and simulations, as well as presentation and documentation techniques. They build the product with access to a machine shop and state of the art engineering tools (Matlab, Simulink, etc).

House Behaviorology in Switzerland
Architectural Design III: House Behaviorology in Switzerland (M.Kaijima)
Lecture "Construction III":The overall topic of the lecture series is “Construction – Elements of Architecture”. The lecture series gives the students an insight into different construction and design methods. The lectures are held by four different professorships in a block of 5 lectures in a row and showcasing their individual approach on design and architecture in general.

Implementation
MAS Thesis: Umsetzung
In the third semester, the MAS thesis is to be focussed on by the students. In detail, they have to implement their methodologies in their work. The main tasks are analysis, assessments, interpretations, and adaption. The academic supervision itsfelf concentrates on the editor and proof reading.
Inconvenience - We are the Ministry for the Future
Architectural Design V-IX: Inconvenience - We are the Ministry for the Future (A.Fonteyne)
This semester, we will research ETH’s built reality, by taking stock of the buildings and public spaces it develops as a federal institution. Holding 211 buildings in Zurich alone, accounting for five billion Swiss Francs, ETH’s real estate portfolio has a huge impact on the city. Which architectures, financial constructions, strategies, actors, and policies constitute ETH’s real estate?
12 weeks of industrial internship which is completed with a written report.
Industrial Internship
Industriepraktikum
During the internship the students gain a first understanding of their future professional practice. This includes learning the technical/scientific, planning, administrative, economic and social conditions under which engineering geological solutions are developed and implemented in practice.
