The module requires basic knowledge of QGIS, coordinate systems and geodata formats. Building on this, complex data modelling, project-specific adaptations, web interfaces and programming options are covered. The focus is initially on advanced functions, followed by various approaches to programming in and with QGIS.
Spatial data science is a subset of Data Science that focuses on the unique characteristics of spatial data. The seminar will cover important topics as well as seminal and current research papers from the domain of spatial data science. The course will mainly consist of readings and discussion.
