Abstract

Fundamentals of electrical engineering, DC network theory, Switching processes, AC network theory, Basic semiconductors, Transmission lines, electrical measurement techniques

Objective

Solution of simple tasks of circuit theory and communications systems. The student is able to communicate with electrical engineers and has the capability to read technical literature.

Content

Basics of electrotechnics in representative areas such as analog and digital circuit theory or antennas. This lecture is intended to setup a working knowledge for computer scientists in order to be able to aquire further fields and also communicate with other professionals and specialists in electrotechniques. There are excercises and a practical course in the following semester.
