Abstract

Fundamental concepts of Swiss LawContract Law (freedom of contract, when a contract becomes binding, what constitutes breach of contract, the remedies available for breach of contract) and Torts Law (concepts of negligence and strict liability).Constitutional and administrative law (organization and duties of the state, sources of law, fundamental rights, procedure of public authorities).

Objective

Introduction to Swiss constitutional and administrative law as well as the law of contracts and torts serving as a basis for advanced legal courses.

Content

Inhalt: Eine Einführung über Funktion, Inhalt und Fortbildung des Rechts; Übersicht über das Staats- und Verwaltungsrecht; Grundfragen des Privatrechts (Verträge, Haftpflicht, Eigentum); Darstellung ausgewählter Gebiete: Grundrechte, Versicherungsrecht, Energierecht, Arbeitsrecht, Prozessrecht. Ziele: Vermittlung von grundlegenden Einsichten - in die Bedeutung, Entstehung und Fortbildung des Rechts - in die enge Verbindung zwischen Rechtsentwicklung und Technik Vermittlung von Grundkenntnissen mit knapper systematischer Darstellung und Besprechung von Beispielen.
