Construction of the periodic table of elements, chemistry of alkali and earth alkali metals, densely packed spheres and simple structures of solids, elements of the boron group, semiconductors, rare earth metals, chemical behaviour of elements of the fourteenth group, structural chemistry of silicates, chemical behaviour of elements of the fifteenth group, chemistry of the elements of the sixteenth group, uses of main-group-element compounds in synthesis and technical processes, redox chemistry of the main group elements.
