Abstract

The course is aimed for students having passed level B1.2 last semester or for those who know and correctly use all indicative tenses, as well as the subjunctive in its present and perfect forms. On the other hand, students should be able to make themselves fluently understood in every day conversations and read easy texts.

Objective

The course aims towards integrating grammar and oral/written communication. The text to be read (at home) will be grammatically and thematically studied. Discussion and debate will be encouraged and, time allowing, we will do some D.E.L.E. exam exercises (Intermediate level). Please note that this is not a preparatory course for that exam.

Content

Grammar contents will consist on subordinate sentences and verbal concordance (subjunctive and indicative). We will practice ser/estar and some prepositions, as well as the passive voice. Among others, we will consider the topics of immigration and exile, international press, etc.

Resources

Literature

We will use material created and/or adapted by the teacher. We will also read a novel from contemporary Hispanic literature. A small fee will be collected.
