Abstract

The Significance of Japanese Architecture in Modernity

Objective

The aim of the lecture is to broaden understanding of classical Modernism. The focus will be on how both advocates of Modernism in Europe and America and Japanese architects themselves have represented and interpreted Japanese architecture and architectural history in regard to their own purposes and interests.
