The semester projects at the chair of Benutzeroberfläche (User Surface) always deal with real clients. Right at the start of the semester, the clients are available for questions and briefing and at the final presentation they are the audience of all efforts.

The semester projects at the chair of Benutzeroberfläche (User Surface) always deal with real clients. Whereas the projects are usually notional, the people for whom the design is planned are real. Right at the start of the semester, the clients are available for questions and briefing and at the final presentation they are the audience of all efforts. The goal of this simulated market driven relationship is to achieve a realistic situation in terms of contending with client needs and demands. We explore the requirements of human beings by the means of traditions and rituals, the definition of the spatial content, dimensions and elements surrounding us, materials, surfaces, textures, light, odours, acoustics.
