Abstract
- Team-based, project-based Systems Engineering practicum with a focus on system design and integration, dynamical systems, and control. Teams of students -- in conjunction with researchers and outside experts -- conceptualize, design, and construct novel, state-of-the-art machines of motion.
Objective
- Mastering and applying methods for constructing complex systems in a collaborative setting.
Content
- The Systems Engineering approach to the design of complex systems. Electrical, Mechanical, and Software design and analysis. First-principles based modeling and simulation. Computer graphics and visualization. Algorithm development and implementation. Embedded systems. Multi-variable control design and analysis.
