Abstract
The course will focus on basic management theories and concepts of successful management in Eastern Europe from an economic and organizational perspective and will strengthen the managerial approach by case studies.
Objective
The objective of the course is to share with the student the specific business conditions and develop a solid understanding of chances and risks of management and business activities in Eastern Europe to enable him/her to successfully manage the market entry and the operations in an international environment.
Content
The course will focus on relevant basic principles of successful international management, will show chances and risks for companies based on current trends in politics, in the economy and in the society in Eastern Europe: Macro economic indicators, outlook and forecasts; chances/risks and options for a successful market entry; cultural aspects with special emphasis on leadership topics and negotiation tactics; international project management model based on case studies.
