Abstract
Basic principles of demand and supply, market and state in a modern economy.Cost analysis, consumer behaviour, economies of scale and economies of scope.Perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly and monopolistic competition, barriers to entry, market concentration, market power.
Objective
The objective of the course is to introduce basic principles, problems and approaches of microeconomics and industrial organization.
Content
Part 1: Basic principles of demand and supply, market and state in a modern economy. Part 2: Cost analysis, consumer behaviour, economies of scale and economies of scope. Part 3: Perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly and monopolistic competition, barriers to entry, market concentration, market power.
