Abstract

The Second World War and the post-war period will be presented with its manifold problems and crises, and augmented with important topics in Swiss history. As in the first part, the lecture will be held as a colloquium.

Content

An overview over the fundamental development tendencies after the second World War. The cold war and the turning point in the East. Decolonisation and the development of new states in Africa and Asia. Near East crisis and the founding of far east influentials states like China and Japan. Switzerland's development tendencies after 1945. In-depth treatment of above mentioned topics and other themes in a colloquium.
