Introduction to Linear Algebra and Numerical Analysis
Objective
To acquire basic knowledge of Linear Algebra and Numerical Analysis and the ability to apply basic algorithms to simple problems.
Content
Linear Algebra: Linear systems of equations, matrix algebra, vector spaces, linear mappings, eigenvalues and eigenvectors with simple applications, method of least squares. Numerical Analysis: Computer arithmetic, nonlinear equations, interpolation, quadrature, numerical integration of ordinary differential equations.
