Objective
Learn the basic techniques for the preparation and purification of organic compounds. Learn to take accurate notes of the experiments. Deepen the understanding of reaction mechanisms.
Content
Analytical part: basic operations for separation of mixtures of organic compounds (recrystallization, distillation, extraction, chromatography). Synthetic part (main part): ca. 8 one or two-steps preparations. Introduction to electronic literature searches (Beilstein).
