Abstract
The course provides an overview of (neo)-institutionalist approaches in political science. Besides introductory parts such as the various definitions of institutions we can find in the literature, the focus is on normative, sociological, economic and historical approaches. We will cover issues such as the birth and change of institutions, effects as well as reforms of institutions.
