Abstract

Fundamentals of railroad technology and standards, network development and infrastructure planning, planning of rail infrastructure and public transport infrastructure in roadways, planning processes and implementation of infrastructure, approval and beginning service on complex infrastructure facilities, maintenance under operations.

Objective

Teaches the basic principles of public transport (OV) system network design, operations, dimensioning and construction as well as the maintenance of infrastructure and systems. Teaches students to recognize the complexities and service interactions from the perspective of safety and environmental protection. Provides the background for Masters degree study.
