Abstract
The seminar introduces different concepts of governance and compares different understandings. Conditions and problems of governance-forms within and beyond the nation-state will be discussed and analyzed on the basis of examples in different political fields, which range from state-centric forms over public-private partnerships to private regulation.
Objective
The seminar aims for general and specific definitions, understandings and perspectives of governance on different levels (local, regional, national, supranational, international) and different scopes of application with an emphasis on environmental policy.
