Abstract

This class focuses on the implementation of environmental and other sustainability goals in business and industry as well as other organizations. Its main aim is to provide insight into the implementation processes necessary for life cycle assessment, life cycle costing, as well as social aspects relating to sustainability. It is about making sustainability operational.

Objective

The goal of this lecture, which also includes some interactive sessions, is to provide the basic understanding of how sustainability can be made operational in practice. Students will be able to understand requirements and constraints as well as success factors when integrating sustainability into operations and business processes. After the course the students have the basics to be part of a project team that works on implementation of sustainability.
