Description of grains and cement/matrix, texture, classification of the main sedimentary rocks. Derivation of the environment of sedimentation. Diagenetic Processes.

Microscopy of carbonate and siliciclastic rocks, siliceous and phosphatic rocks, their origin and classification. Diagenesis.
