Abstract
Language and Meaning in Architecture
Objective
In the last part of the master lecture series of architecture theory the building blocks of theory are placed in the broader context of the construction site. Here we try to synthesize meaningful constructions from the earlier tested elements. Theory of architecture is illuminated from the perspective of superior systems and disciplines such as semiotics or phenomenology. The possibilities and forms of communication can be accessed with methods of media theory, which necessitates to address its ethical and social dimensions.
