Abstract
The master thesis accompanion seminar with ethical discussions, obtaining research plans, literature searches, critical discussion of original publications, and obtaining possible solutions when confronted with experimental problems.
Objective
The seminar helps before and during the master thesis in order to enable a successful completion of the thesis.
Content
Ethical problems will be discussed and an individual request for ethical approvement will be written. A research plan will be put together with the superviser of the master thesis and presented within 30 min in front of the group. The group critically discusses the form and the content of the presentation. The literature searches will be optimised and at least one original publication shortly presented and critically commented. During the master thesis, progress reports will be presented. When confronted with experimental problems, the group tries to help by searching possible solutions. As soon as the data are complet and statistically evaluated, a presentation is given. The group critically discusses the form and the content of the presentation.
