Abstract
Course on mathematical foundations of navigation and basic solutions of navigational problems.
Objective
Students know the mathematical tools in navigation. They are able to further consolidate their navigational knowlegde by their own. They know some basic solution principles in navigation.
Content
Geometry on the surface, Charts, course, rhumbline, orthodrome, maneuver, trajectories, earth magnetic field, observables, observation equations of different systems (satellites, DME/DME, VOR, radar, INS...), error estimation, Kalman filtering, basics of system control.
