Abstract

Mathematics I and II is an introduction to one- and multidimensional calculus and linear algebra emphasizing on numerical methods and applications.

Objective

Anwendungsorientierte Einführung in die mehrdimensionale Analysis und Lineare Algebra. Einfache Modelle kennen und selber bilden und mathematisch analysieren.

Content

Multivariable calculus: The notion of function, derivative, Taylor polynomials, differentials, line integrals, multi-dimensional integration, Theorems of Gauss and Stokes. Linear Algebra: Linear systems of equations, matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, linear systems of differential equations with constant coefficients.
