Abstract
The students will acquire an understanding of complex environmental issues, including the interactions between the natural environment, technology, the economy and society. The lecture will enable participants to recognise environmental issues in their future professional life and to reflect upon scientific, political and societal approaches to these problems.

Content
Technical, natural-scientific and social-scientific problem areas are exemplifed at the interface of science, politics/policies and economy starting out from the foci climate, energy and risk as well as the sustainable utilisation of resources over time. Each lecturer looks at the interwined environmental problems from his perspective, be it nature/envrionment, energy/technology or society/economics.
