Abstract

The Materials Science Colloquium provides an overview of key research areas pursued in the broad field of Materials Science.

Objective

The students get familiar with the various research directions in the Department of Materials at ETH, and also gain an overview of current research topics in an international context.

Content

The Materials Science Colloquium covers all aspects of Materials Science, including synthesis, characterization, processing and applications of organic and inorganic materials. Internal (from ETH) and external invited speakers with different academic and industrial backgrounds present their research topics and thus provide a unique opportunity to get an overview of state-of-the art research in Materials Science. The lecturers and the topics vary from semester to semester.
