International Management Asia II

Abstract
This is an introductory course in the area of international management which focuses on business context and management in Asia. It seeks to provide students with basic understanding and points out the pertinent features of the business environment and business management in Asia.
Objective
The objective of the course is to introduce the students to the business environment of contemporary Asia and to gain a general understanding of the rationale and organization of international business and management in Asia.
Content
Following an integral approach, the course provides background knowledge about political, historical, cultural, migratory and environmental aspects of contemporary Asia. Starting from traditional business, the role of interpersonal business-networks and their workings will be examined. The other topics will focus on markets and resource development in Asia (including Human resources) and the modern enterprise in Asia (culture and management).
