Abstract
This is an introductory course in different areas and positions in the philosophy of physics. It falls into different parts, including one on the concepts of space and time and one on "symmetry and reality". To provide a rather brought insight, both classical (e.g., Leibniz) and contemporary readings (e.g., on recent debates on “structural realism”) will be discussed in each part of the seminar.
Objective
The seminar aims at giving a brought insight into different areas in the philosophy of physics.

Eine Liste mit den Texten, die im Seminar behandelt werden, bzw. einen Reader gibt es zu Beginn des Semesters. Wer aber über den Sommer Lust und Zeit hat, sich thematisch einzustimmen, dem sei folgendes Buch empfohlen: E. Scheibe: Die Philosophie der Physiker. München: C. H. Beck, 2006.
