Abstract
This course provides an introduction to the leading theories of regional integration. The theories covered include classics such as neofunctionalism and (liberal) intergovernmentalism but constructivist as well as comparative perspectives on the European Union will also be treated. The theories will be applied to cases of horizontal, vertical and sectoral integration in the European Union.
