Structural Concrete III
Stahlbeton III
Last Updated: 2026-02-05 15:13:45
Abstract
This course supplements the courses Structural Concrete I and II redarding the structural analysis and dimensioning of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. It focuses on the application of stress fields, the detailing and complementary deformation considerations.
Objective
Enhancement of the understanding of the load-deformation reponse of reinforced and prestressed concrete; ability to efficiently apply stress fields for the dimensioning and detailing of complex reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.
Content
Fundamentals (load-deformation response of structural concrete; structural analysis and dimensioning; limit analysis; deformations); stress fields (basic elements; anchorages, splices and deviations; reinforced concrete girders; prestressed concrete girders; frames; grids; walls; plates; spatial stress fields); deformations (response of steel and concrete; elementary models; verification of deformations; long-term deformations).
