Part I: Rural development and rural culture: conflict between traditional structures and modern demands for high performance. Using the frame of the National Suisse Museum for rural culture we make acquaintance with the traditional structures and assess its values in todays modern world and evaluate possibilities for a progress without loss of soul. Part II: The second blockcourse takes place in canton Uri and canton Tessin/Grisans. The question of regional development planning in the light of social and cultural sustainability is the central theme.
