Abstract

This course offers reading and discussion of authentic texts from mainly non-literary sources, such as magazines, newspapers and scientific texts. The four skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening comprehension will be practised in a variety of forms, taking students towards level C2 of the Global European Framework.

Objective

The main objective is to increase students' confidence in using the language for academic purposes, improving their communicative and writing skills as well as grammatical accuracy.

Content

The carefully selected texts provide up-to-date information on topics of general interest, such as lifestyle and communication, aspects of globalisation, nature and environment, society and changing social structures.
