Objective
Spatial planning aims at forming the living environment. To meet the contradicting interests and plans of different actors, spatial planning should be based on an overview about the situation on one hand and should be future-oriented on the other hand. The concept of sustainable development leads in spatial planning to an efficient use of resources, mainly the limited resource "land". This lecture aims at communicating the basics of this subject. The lecture is organised in three main themes: - Inner development - Infrastructures and spatial development - Cross-border spatial planning
